2 BIG football games + both exciting games at that = too much snacking!
What a great day of football! There were two awesome games that I had no emotional ties to, so it made for some great watching. But today I prepared myself.
I knew I might be doing some heavy snacking, so I set out some grapes, cashews, apples and a yogurt. I made a nice lunch of wild rice and turkey soup, and yes it was YUMMY! For supper tonight, I prepared some very nice New York strip steaks, baked potatoes and broccoli.
This morning I went to the gym and got a quick 5 miles in on the elliptical. Then I did some grocery shopping for my meals this week.
Tonight while preparing our supper, I precooked all of my meals for the next two days. I have 6 meals a day to eat starting tomorrow. I will talk about my new meal plan on tomorrow's post.
We had a NEW RECORD number of readers today that read my post about Paula Deen. Thank you for reading, and thank you for sharing it with others.
Just wanted to give you all a quick update and a thank you.
I also want to mention that we lost another classmate from our Class of '81 last night. Jeff was an incredible musician and played with rock legends like The Knack, Tommy Tutone and the Romantics. Gone way too young. I will be interested to hear how this happened. It's too bad. My condolences to his family and friends.
