Oh well...I'm the one who said I was going to talk about everything!
No topics are off limits on this blog! :)
Just in case you don't know what I'm talking about, check out my post about loose skin. I have kept this very close to the vest and haven't really told anyone about doing this. The other night after my wife read this post she said, "Your using Preparation H on your stomach?" Yeah, I've kept this a pretty good secret!
But once again, I thought if I'm having this problem I'm sure that there are quite a few of you out there that may be going through the same thing. If there are any of you that have a topic you'd like us to comment on or help you out with, please feel free to contact us and we can make a post out of it.
Day 20 - Friday, January 20, 2012
Today's workouts were both EXCELLENT! I had a great morning workout and an equally as good afternoon lifting session.
Morning Workout:
I did only 30 minutes (4 1/2 miles) of cardio today, but I got back to 1,200 ab reps and it felt good to do that many again...well as good as doing 1,200 ab reps is going to feel.
Morning Diet:
I had my Wheybolic shake, 3 egg whites with mushrooms in 1/2 of a flaxseed wrap, and a banana and a yogurt.
Afternoon Workout:
I had a great workout. I worked my back today and lifted hard and heavy. Added extra weight and sets and threw in an extra 3 sets of biceps and triceps.
Afternoon Diet:
I had my usual McDonald's lunch of 760 calories and an apple.
Evening Workout:
I did 5 miles on the Elliptical in 35 minutes.
Evening Diet:
For dinner I had Chinese, which included Chicken Broccoli with rice and an egg roll. This was not a very low calorie or low sodium meal, but I knew I would be working out for a long time on Saturday.
I didn't have any snacks. I went to a play and just did not get to eat anything.
Day 21 - Saturday, January 21, 2012
Morning Workout:
Long day at the gym. Started with 15 minutes of cardio on the Elliptical to warm up. And then I did my full-body weightlifting routine. This routine include about two hours of lifting. When I was done I did another 30 minutes of cardio on the stair climber. That ended up being 3 hours at the gym.
BIG DECISION NEEDS TO BE MADE!
This afternoon I had a long conversation with the person who is advising me on my training and diet for the fitness competition. He said if I am totally serious about being competitive he recommends that my weight should be at...are you ready for this one...180 pounds.
That would be an additional 35 pound I would have to lose in the next 8 weeks.
I have a diet laid out and a workout plan in place, now I must decide whether or not I want to put my body through THAT big of a change. It is a little frightening and would be an incredible challenge. But I do like a challenge! I am truly thinking if I can get to 195 I would look pretty good, and should be showing some pretty good definition. I have until Monday to make the choice. Give me your thoughts...I could use some. LOL
Well that's enough for today.
Have a great Saturday, and I look forward to your thoughts and comments. I will see you all at the gym!
Dan
