It felt so good to be back at the gym today.
I can honestly tell you that my body was craving to get back to the gym and get my heart pumping again.
My morning and afternoon workouts felt SO GOOD! I did reduce my weights a little this afternoon because I am still feeling a little of the affects of being sick the other night. Otherwise, I did 7 miles this morning (could have done 10) on the elliptical. There was a great movie on in the Cardio Cinema...Pirates of the Caribbean, fun movie to keep you going.
It was very nice of the morning crew at the gym to be concerned about me yesterday. Everyone was so surprised not to see me there yesterday and were concerned about how I was doing. So thank you to everyone who was wondering how I was feeling.
Actually, after one day of having a touch of food poisoning, I am feeling very well today and as of right now I am feeling no affects from it. :)
Morning Workout:
This morning, I ran 7 miles on the elliptical in 45 minutes at a level 9. I did 900 ab reps with 250 crunches. I really had a great sweat going...still trying to rid my body of any left over toxins.
Morning Diet:
Wheybolic shake, a yogurt and an apple.
Afternoon Workout:
I worked my legs today. I was a little weak and thought I would work my larger muscles and not waste a day on working chest or back. Did my normal leg routine but did 3 sets of each machine at the same weight, I did not increase after each set. And then I just capped off my workout with a little weight lifting with my arms: 3 sets of 15 on biceps and triceps. Not real heavy, just enough to get the blood flowing.
Afternoon Diet:
Busy day so I ate on the run. I stopped at McDonald's and had 2 grilled chicken snack wraps with honey mustard and a medium strawberry banana smoothie.
Evening Workout:
None.
Evening Diet:
Tonight I attended a fundraising event at a local restaurant. I had veggies and very little dip. I also had 3 meatballs and a couple triangles flat bread.
My snacks tonight will include a yogurt and an apple.
