Being an Inspiration

This note was given to be by someone I've gotten to know over the last few months. We have become good friends along the way. This note reminds me that there will always be haters and those who will never forgive. It also reminds me that there are those who do listen and do care and who want to change their lives. And one of the reasons they want to change is because of you--you are their inspiration. Thank you, my friend!

Being an inspiration to someone doesn't require a $10 dollar bronze trophy or even striated glutes. Being an inspiration to people is showing them all things are possible. That when they have no hope in their heart, there is a reason to stay hopeful. And when they want to give up...they know that you never did. Being an inspiration is simply that. It doesn't require money or fancy clothes. Being an inspiration is when you help ignite a fire in someone's heart and help him or her discover a desire that s/he did not know existed. So, when some tells you you're an inspiration to them, BELIEVE THEM! And be proud! It was your journey and your struggles that gave them hope to get there too.
